Polling, Surveys & Public Opinion Research

A survey is only as good as its sample and its questions. We design studies that measure what you intend to measure, coordinate data collection across modes and countries, and report results with their uncertainty stated plainly.

What we offer

26 services, grouped by stage. Most projects use several of them together.

Survey planning and methodology

  • Research objectives and survey planning
  • Questionnaire development
  • Survey instrument validation
  • Measurement scales
  • Pilot studies
  • Sampling frame development
  • Probability and non-probability sampling
  • Stratified and cluster sampling
  • Sample size determination
  • Survey weighting and adjustment

Data collection

  • CAWI: computer-assisted web interviewing
  • CATI: computer-assisted telephone interviewing
  • CAPI: computer-assisted personal interviewing
  • Hybrid and mixed-mode surveys
  • Respondent recruitment and screening
  • Fieldwork supervision
  • Quality control and response verification
  • Coordination with local fieldwork providers

Survey analysis

  • Descriptive analysis and population estimates
  • Confidence intervals
  • Cross-tabulations and subgroup comparisons
  • Survey weighting
  • Non-response assessment
  • Trend analysis
  • Statistical modelling
  • Research reporting and presentation

Every estimate comes with its margin of error

A headline figure without its uncertainty invites over-interpretation. Our reports show confidence intervals for key estimates, state the effective sample size after weighting, and flag subgroup results that are too small to rely on.

UK and international coverage

We work with clients in the UK and internationally, with particular interest in Middle Eastern research projects. ezyStat manages research methodology, sampling, statistical quality assurance and analysis. Data collection is carried out directly or through qualified local fieldwork partners.

International fieldwork is always subject to project feasibility and the availability of suitable local partners. We confirm both before a proposal is finalised.

Our commitments to respondents and clients

Respondent privacy
Personal data are collected only where needed, stored securely and handled in line with UK GDPR.
Informed consent
Respondents are told who is asking, why, and how their answers will be used, and can stop at any time.
Transparent methodology
We publish or provide sample sizes, fieldwork dates, mode, weighting and question wording with results.
Responsible reporting
We report uncertainty, avoid overstating small differences and do not adjust findings to suit a preferred outcome.

Problems we often help with

Typical starting points for a conversation. If your question is not here, it is still worth asking.

“How large does our sample need to be?”
It depends on the precision you need overall and for the subgroups you plan to compare. We work this out before fieldwork, not after.
“Our online panel over-represents some groups.”
Weighting can correct known imbalances. We choose weighting targets carefully and report how much the weights reduce the effective sample size.
“We need fieldwork in another country.”
We manage design, sampling and quality assurance, and work with qualified local partners for data collection where that is the sensible route.
“Are these differences between groups real?”
We test subgroup differences properly, account for the survey design and avoid reading too much into small or noisy comparisons.

Discuss your project

Tell us what you are working on. We will reply to arrange an initial conversation and, if it is a good fit, send a written proposal with scope, method, timeline and cost.

Who this service is for

  • Organisations commissioning public opinion research
  • Businesses running customer or employee surveys
  • Research agencies needing methodological support
  • Universities and social researchers
  • International organisations, including Middle Eastern studies

All fields are required unless marked optional. Please do not include datasets, health information or other sensitive personal data in this form.
